The SS-01074 Elasticated Fall Arrest Safety Harness is designed to support the body and distribute forces effectively in the event of a fall, helping to prevent serious injury and keep the worker in a safe position ready for rescue. Featuring one rear ‘dorsal’ and one front ‘sternum’ attachment point, this harness provides reliable anchorage options for fall arrest and work restraint, as well as work positioning on inclined surfaces when used with a rope and grab. The certified front and rear “D” rings are safe to connect to any EN compliant fall protection system, with certified fall arrest points clearly marked with an A. The rear “D” ring should always be the primary anchorage, while the front connection is primarily intended for work positioning.
Designed for comfort and ease of use, the harness is lightweight, simple to don, and features four points of adjustment for a secure fit. The top half is constructed from elasticated webbing, allowing extra stretch and improved comfort during active movement. Reinforced webbing at stress points enhances durability and safety, while contrast stitching allows for easier pre-use visual inspection. Quick connect buckles support efficient fitting, and integrated parking keepers on the chest allow safe stowage of spare lanyard legs, designed to break in the event of a fall. All product and inspection information is protected within a secure label pouch for convenient reference.
Supplied with carbon steel fittings, the PBH02-E must be used in conjunction with an energy absorber or load limiting device with a maximum impact force of 6kN when used for fall arrest. A predetermined rescue plan must form part of the safe system of work, and the recommended minimum anchor strength is 12kN.
