The Bitrex Fit Test Solution (2 x Bottles) is a reliable and widely used method for conducting qualitative fit tests on tight-fitting respirators. Designed to assess whether a respirator forms an adequate seal on the wearer’s face, this solution is an essential part of any respiratory protection programme.
Each pack contains two bottles, offering enough solution for multiple test sessions, and is fully compatible with JSP’s Qualitative Face Fit Testing Kit. During testing, the bitter-tasting Bitrex aerosol is introduced into a fit test hood using a nebulizer. If the wearer can detect the taste, it indicates an improper seal—prompting adjustments or selection of a more suitable respirator.
Ideal for half-face and filtering facepiece respirators (excluding full-face masks), the Bitrex solution is used in both sensitivity tests and fit assessments. It supports compliance with health and safety regulations, helping ensure every user is properly protected in the workplace.
